I hereby announce my third photo tour to Lapland that will take place next year! We are going to capture the very best of the true winter wonderland of Finnish Lapland. During the tour we will stay in a wooden cottage in the woods next to a small lake. We will visit three national parks in total that all differ from each other in several ways. We will photograph those typical trees covered in snow and due to the heavy weight of the snow they can hang as far as the ground, forming arches and interesting compositions. The yellow and orange light during golden hour perfectly complements to the white snow that covers everything. After sunset there will be a beautiful pink and purple afterglow that might be even more stunning. I have snow rackets for all participants that we will need in order to move around the thick layers of snow. We don't have to hike far but with these snow rackets hiking goes a bit slower. Also because around every tree you will feel like taking a photo. In March 2023 I organised my first photo tour to this location and in February 2024 my second. At night we have to be lucky to have clear skies and northern lights, but if Mother Nature is generous to us, we will be on the perfect location at the right time on the year to capture a true spectacle. The northern lights are at the peak of their 11 year cycle due to high solar activity. Don't miss out on this marvellous show of nature!

What is included?

- Daily landscape and nightscape shootings when the sky is clear/weather is suitable, with tips, guidelines and personal feedback. 

- Accommodation  (private room with a single bed and shared bathroom)

- Transportation throughout the entire trip in Lapland

- Daily breakfast, lunch and dinner. This varies between fresh home cooked meals and self-prepared sandwiches as well as dinner and lunch in a restaurant. There is flexibility to adapt to your personal diet

- When we are in the accommodation you will be guided during the post processing of your photos

- Use of sauna (which is in our cottage)

- Snow rackets (rent)

- Your flight ticket to Rovaniemi

- Travel insurance (very important)

What to bring with you:

- Winter clothes (waterproof and windproof)

- Proper hiking shoes/boots

- Your camera and charger

- Lenses like zoom-, prime-, wide-angle- and telelens as they are all very suitable

- Filterset for your lens (ND filter, Gradient Filter, etc)

- Tripod

- Your drone if you have one (not necessary but offers extra photo opportunities)

- Your toiletries 

- Swimsuit (for sauna)

- Towel
